Make a New Year's resolution that matters

Three easy ways you can start (from our Living Planet Community):
1. BYOB, Bring your own bags. Instead of using the grocery store’s plastic bags, bring your own re-usable cloth bags. These not only help the environment but are much more durable.
2. Leave the car at home. If you have an errand to run close by or you have to drive the kids to school , consider walking instead. You will feel better getting more exercise and help the environment by reducing your carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. If walking is not an option, take public transit. Either way you will save on gas.
3. Turn down the heat in your home by 1 degree Celsius. You probably will not notice a difference in the warmth of your home, but you will effectively reduce the emission of CO2 from your home by as much as 100 kilograms a year and save approximately 3% on your monthly heating bill. If you are looking for an ever better solution, switch to a green, renewable energy source like Bullfrog Power.
Let us know what resolutions you are making! Happy new year from all of us at WWF-Canada.
