Earth Hour: The tradition

Yesterday, the garden oasis was host to our Earth Hour press event. Twenty kids from West Preparatory Junior School sang U2’s “One” while 600 vegetable wax tea lights flickered in the shape of our panda. The choir, whose members were apparently so excited they sang on the bus, was awesome. And they represent a generation who is growing up with Earth Hour. Like a poppy on Remembrance Day or birthday candles on a cake (or, for them, the Internet), Earth Hour is unquestioned. It’s a tradition that kids around the world have grown up with.
