Équiterre, the David Suzuki Foundation and WWF-Canada Quebec emphasize action in combating climate change and achieving the 2012 target of reducing GHG emissions

Politicians, civil servants, businessmen, unions, environmentalists, and so many more, all gathered at the Centre for Sustainable Development on Tuesday, June 10, to attend the event hosted by WWF-Canada, Équiterre and the David Suzuki Foundation, to highlight Quebec’s action on climate change and to celebrate the achievement of reaching the 2012 target of reducing GHG emissions by 6%. This would not have been possible without a non-partisan approach as well as teamwork and the personal commitment that many people in Quebec made to take action on climate change. This unifying event also marked the willingness of participants to continue working towards achieving the 2020 target of 20% reduction that Quebec has set.
