Jacqueline Nunes
Jacqueline Nunes is WWF-Canada’s Communications Specialist for the Development and Strategic Partnerships teams. She joined WWF in October 2012 after working in the Canadian magazine industry for six years as an editor and writer. She has worked at or written for eight national publications and a handful of local ones—including Chatelaine, Maclean’s, Toronto Star and National Post. At Chatelaine, Jacqueline led the award-winning Health section; she also chased national and international stories as a reporter at Maclean’s and enforced deadlines as the production manager on the National Post’s news desk. In 2010, Jacqueline took a professional hiatus to pursue her passion for wilderness and conservation through graduate research at York University in protected-area networks and transboundary conservation in eastern Canada/U.S.

When she’s not writing, Jacqueline is climbing—both rock and ice, mostly in Ontario and New York. She has also climbed in Wyoming, Nevada and California and is totally obsessed with grizzly bears.
