Living Planet Community: Jasmina Gustin – Following her dreams
What do you want to be when you grow up? Isn’t that the million dollar question? Some people change their answer well into retirement. More rarely, others pick one thing and one thing only. That was the case with Jasmina Gustin, teacher and curriculum development manager at The Chartwell House Early Learning Center in Oakville, Ontario.

Finding a piece of nature may seem difficult in a city like Toronto. Mike Cole, however, finds nature wherever he is. He points out that there is more green space in Toronto than people realize. Hiking down into the ravines that snake through the city is one way he enjoys those spaces.

St. John’s got a brand new bag… and it’s BLUE!
It started October 18, 2010: a recycling program for St. John’s… finally!!! Five months in, and after some minor kinks and complaints – including no collection for glass - I’ve heard wonderful things about this positive initiative for this area of the Avalon Peninsula.

Second hand clothing: Green is in
My first clothing swap was a bit nerve wracking. Being the youngest of three girls, one could argue that my entire childhood, when it came to all things sartorial, was just one big clothing swap.
