Close call: Ship runs aground near Prince Rupert
A rising tide lifts all boats, goes the saying. A good thing in the case of the Hanjin Geneva, a 278-m long container vessel that ran aground Tuesday night on the estuary of the Skeena River, some 10km from Prince Rupert. Had it been a falling tide, the prospects of re-floating the vessel might have been considerably more difficult.
