Sun’s up, lights out- Earth Hour in the Arctic
The town of Inuvik, NWT is the ideal place to start an energy revolution! The community of 3,500 is located 2 degrees North of the Arctic circle. For 8 weeks each year during summer, the sun will not set, and has the potential to provide the community with an ample supply of clean energy- solar power.

Everyone and everything is connected. And we want to make sure our kids understand that, too.

For years, plastic bags were an integral part of our shopping experience – convenient, free, taken for granted.

I live across the street from a grade school (which has its advantages and disadvantages), and noticed yesterday that some students have been busy clearing out the vegetable patch out front to make way for some new plants.

Growing plants using renewable energy
I have been fortunate to be involved with a project that is beautifying the community, building community relationships and establishing partnerships.
